Nestled among beautiful oak trees on Franz Road is a unique, versatile venue called Toddy Oaks. Toddy Oaks is a winery, brewery and distillery that attracts guests looking to hang out, watch sporting events, attend concerts, or just visit with friends. Toddy also hosts a free 5K Running Club every Thursday night for the community from 5:45-8 PM. (Check in starts at 5:30).

The outdoor and indoor venue offers Katy entertainment but is also available for private events like weddings, showers, Quinceaneras, rehearsal dinners, and birthdays.

Family-Owned Winery, Brewery, and Distillery

Toddy Oaks is a Katy family-owned business that offers so much including the only Winery, Brewery and Distillery (all 3) in Texas. The Katy husband and wife team, Channing Wood and Pamela Taylor, are community minded owners who created the venue to be a Katy hang out and gathering place inspired by the Texas Hill Country. “We designed our facility by combining the elegance of Limestone from the Texas Hill Country with rustic romance in our Taproom/Sunset Bar, named for the great view of our Sunsets from that room looking west towards our gorgeous old Oak Tree,” says Pamela. “Toddy is our business name which refers to our Winery, brewery and distillery business.

The Toddy Oaks property has historical significance to Katy. Toddy Oaks location at 20120 Franz Road was originally owned by the Fry family, as in Fry Road. “We have the front stoop with their initials and dates on it from their original home on our outdoor deck and the well on our property used to feed all the rice and cotton produced in this area back in the day,” says Pamela.

A Love Built on Music “My husband and I met as teenagers and loved listening to live music with all our friends, so we try to recreate the ambiance we love and offer a little bit of every genre in a neighborly setting,” says Pamela. The owners have a passion for live music and hold many events and concerts where Katyites can come and enjoy delicious drinks along with a great show.

Good Times around The Oak

This Katy hang out is centered around a gorgeous grand oak tree that inspired their name. Toddy Oaks has an enormous wraparound deck with an enclosed air-conditioned Patio Room and large stage where the bands perform. The bar offers daiquiris, wine, beer, and selzers. Food is also available and guests can order appetizers, charcuterie boards, wraps, and pizzas. Enjoy the 10,000 square feet of combined deck and patio. This space offers flexible options depending on the event. The bar is open to the public Thursday through Sunday except during a private event.

“Toddy Oaks has manufactured our own brand of wonderful Whiskeys, all types of liquors and our Toddy Oaks Family Brewing Company beers have expanded as our Brewmaster, Mike, formulates and creates new flavors every week, sometimes based on seasons of the year or the newest trends,” says Pamela.

Sunset Taproom and Other Spaces

Another great space to watch sports or hang out is Toddy’s Sunset Taproom. With large wood beams and barn-style doors, Toddy’s Taproom is a casual, rustic hang out to watch the big game, visit with friends and enjoy the sunset while sipping a an adult beverage.

Toddy Oaks also hosts many private events like birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, Quinceaneras, community fundraisers, and corporate events, and has several spaces and rooms available depending on size.

Toddy Oaks is pet & kid friendly (children are allowed up until 6 pm.) The Bar & Grill is open Thursday-Sunday. See website for hours.
