Katy ISD is teaming up with Crime Stoppers to address ongoing National concerns of Cyber Safety and how it relates to Human Trafficking. The District will host a free webinar tomorrow, March 5, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“At Crime Stoppers of Houston, our passion for safety education drives everything we do,” says Rania Mankarious, CEO Crime Stoppers of Houston. “For years, we have been proud to partner with Katy ISD to educate students, parent, and educators on the critical connection between cyber safety and human trafficking.”
Crime Stoppers of America has launched their Million for Million Campaign where they strive to reach a million kids and keep them safe through life-saving prevention education. Learn more about the campaign online.
“Together with Katy ISD, we are empowering our communities with the knowledge to stay safe, both online and in everyday life,” says Mankarious.
The webinar will help parents learn how to have essential conversations about cyber safety and how it links to human trafficking. Experts will break down real examples of grooming tactics and messages used by predators so that families can recognize warning signs and how to safeguard students.
