Due to the rain, we've updated our event listings below to help you plan your July 4th Celebration in Katy.

These are your major Katy area events for this year's Fourth of July. There are many options for fun, safe and festive ways to celebrate our Nation's birthday.

July 4th Bash Wednesday, July 4, 2018 6 - 9:30 p.m.

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.

Update: This event is going on but the start time has been pushed back to 6 p.m. We'll continue to watch for updates.

Katy families can again enjoy the festivities at the annual Fourth of July Bash event at LaCenterra presented by Texas Children's Hospital West Campus. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with live music by Velvet Touch, Buck Yeager Band and Level One Band. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets as people camp out to enjoy the music and to get their spot for the evening fireworks show. You can also enjoy food for purchase from any of the LaCenterra restaurants. There is also an interactive kid zone where the younger party goers can have fun. The fireworks show starts at 9:15 pm. If you can't find parking in the parking garage they will open Cinco Ranch High School for event parking just across from LaCenterra.

 

Firethorne Independence Day Parade

Update: The Firethorne Independence Day parade has been moved to Saturday July 7. Lineup starts at 8:30am.

 

Festive Fourth Tuesday, July 3, 2018 9:30 - 11 a.m., & 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Chick-fil-A of Cinco Ranch 23680 Westheimer Pkwy.

Katy kiddos and their parents can celebrate early with two super fun events. Preschool agers can enjoy a red, white and blue star spangled morning craft time! Sparkle dough, singing, dancing and story time to follow from 9:30 - 11 a.m., and the whole family is welcome to hang out from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. with a fun firework craft to celebrate 4th of July. Plus, complimentary balloon animals and face painting by Sweet Honey the Clown.

 

Katy Freedom Celebration & Fireworks at Katy Mills Mall Wednesday, July 4, 2018 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Katy Fire Station 1417 Ave. D.

Update: The Katy Freedom Celebration from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. has been canceled due to the forecasted weather.

Wednesday, July 4, 2018 9 p.m. 5000 Katy Mills Cir.

Update: The Katy Freedom Fireworks at Katy Mills Mall is still on.

The City of Katy will host a family-friendly celebration from 9 am -1 pm at the Katy Fire Station, Katy Heritage Park and VFW Hall. There families will find free activities that include bounce houses, dunking booth, petting zoo, trackless train, snow cones and more. Hot dogs and drinks will be donated by HEB and Chick-Fil-a. There will be a silent and live auction in the VFW Hall. Then later that evening at 9 pm there will be a fireworks show at Katy Mills/Typhoon Texas.

 

Fourth of July Jamboree Wednesday, July 4, 2018 2 - 9 p.m.

Smith Ranch 25440 Beckendorff Rd.

Smith Ranch is hosting their annual 4th of July Jamboree event from 2pm to 9pm. For $10 a person guests can enjoy great food, music, paddle boats, petting zoo, water slides, moonwalks and more. The day will end with fireworks.

Natalie Cook Clark is a longtime Katy resident who couldn't be happier to be raising her two children around the landmarks and places where she grew up. Last year her family attended the Fourth of July Bash at LaCenterra and had a lot of fun!
