Katy is experiencing a breakfast boom! Local eateries now serve up some of the best morning meals Katy has ever seen - from traditional stacks of thick, fluffy pancakes to savory omelets and meat-lover creations. Here's a sample of our favorite breakfast places and featured dishes they serve.
Farmhouse Hash at First Watch includes eggs, potatoes, bacon, avocado, house roasted onions and tomatoes.
Two Katy Locations
Breakfast: Sunday through Saturday 7:00 am – 2:30 pm
With classic favorites and healthy options, First Watch has evolved into a go-to spot for Katyites of all ages. The menu includes omelets, frittatas, pancakes, egg dishes, power bowls and even a green juice. Most complete breakfast items range between $9 -11. The kids' menu includes bacon and an egg, chocolate chip pancake, and sandwiches that kids love.
Summer Crab Omelet
This seasonal omelet comes filled with fresh crab, house-roasted corn and red peppers, jack cheese and scallions topped with hollandaise and Cholula®. A lemon-dressed organic mixed greens salad and whole grain artisan toast with all-natural preserves complete this meal.

Opened in Katy in 2017, the Toasted Yolk quickly became a breakfast lover's destination. The restaurant offers enticing dishes as well as a full cocktail menu. Their menu includes eggs, French toast, omelets, waffles, and signature items like the Cowboy Scramble (a delicious take on biscuits and gravy with bacon added). The drink menu offers guests several coffee options plus assorted mimosas, Bloody Marys mojitos, mules, wines, and beers.
Toasted Yolk's Donuts "Churro Style"
This towering breakfast treat stacks four cake donuts, dusted with cinnamon and sugar, served with a warm caramel dipping sauce.

Brunch: Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
BB’s Tex-Orleans welcomes diners to enjoy their weekend brunch of delicious Cajun-inspired breakfast menu items. Their Brunch & Boils menu includes a scrumptious variety of eggs Benedicts and French toast including Bananas Foster French toast, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, and more. Live music starts at 12 noon.
BB’s Tex Cajun Eggs Benedict
This Cajun fare features four blackened shrimp with two poached eggs and a zesty andouille cream sauce. Other delicious menu options include a Boudreaux Benedict with Crawfish and a Louisiana Benedict with Crab Cakes.
LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch
Breakfast: Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 10:45 pm
Brunch: Saturday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Sunday 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
Located in the heart of LaCenterra, Dish Society delivers locally-sourced selections to the table. With dishes catering to gluten-free and vegetarian diets, their menu features morning pick-me-ups for every palate.
Diners can order everything from shrimp and grits to breakfast tacos to red velvet pancakes, and eat inside or on the patio. Kids meals include Nutella French Toast bites, biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon, and more.
Texas Pork Belly
Dish Society offers a hot skillet of potatoes and onions, jalapenos, roasted red peppers, with two open range sunny side eggs and house avocado hollandaise.
LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch
Breakfast: Sunday through Saturday 6:30 am – 2:30 pm
Traditional breakfasts get a wake-up call at Snooze. The trendy LaCenterra eatery modernizes the most important meal of the day with a plethora of breakfast offerings, and even welcomes requests for custom creations. They serve egg dishes, French toast and pancake options as well as breakfast sandwiches. Their lighter menu includes avocado toast, egg white dishes, oatmeal and other healthier options.
Blueberry Danish Pancakes
Almost too prettty to eat, Snooze serves up a delicious presentation of buttermilk pancakes topped with blueberry coulis, sweet cream and almond streusel, surrounding a lemony cream cheese filling.

Black Bear Diner's generous portions satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. Their menu features all of the traditional breakfast dishes from eggs and meats to pancakes. Unique offerings at Black Bear Diner also include sweet Cinnamon Roll French Toast and their flavorful Chorizo Breakfast Tacos.
Chicken Fried Steak
Black Bear Diner offers a hearty breakfast plate with tender steak, breaded and deep-fried, then smothered in their country gravy, served with two eggs, strip-cut hash browns or potatoes and a biscuit.

Are you ready for a hearty, hometown Katy breakfast experience? Many long-time residents refer to Snappy's as "the best breakfast place in Katy." Visit Snappy's any morning for great conversation and friendly service. Their menu includes sausage, steak, hamburger steak, ham, corned beef hash and just about every kind of egg or pancake dish you can imagine.
Biscuits and Gravy
Regular customers love Snappy's generous portion of country-style biscuits, eggs any style, bacon, and sausage smothered in delicious homemade gravy.

Breakfast is definitely all it’s cracked up to be, and more, at Black Walnut Café. They offer six unique omelets, exciting varieties of eggs Benedict, petite breakfasts, and breakfast cocktails as well. Guests can enjoy a different dining experience there by sitting in the bar area, on the patio, or the warmly-decorated main dining rooms. Breakfast is served until 4:00 pm on the weekends.
Caramel Apple French Toast
Traditional French toast gets a flavor upgrade with challah bread, English cream batter, caramel apple, lemon zest, cinnamon, powdered sugar and pure maple syrup.
