Late Saturday Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that his units responded to a shooting at a short-term rental where an advertised Paetow High School homecoming after party was being held. Three teens were shot and reported to be in stable condition.

Harris County Sheriff's Office Units Responded to Shooting
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared on social media that just after 11:00 p.m. Harris County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a shooting at the 21100 block of Bridgemeadows Lane, near Clay Road and 99.
According to Gonzalez three teens, one 17-years-old and two 18-years-old were shot and attempted to flee the scene. Their injuries are reported to be not life-threatening.
The party had roughly 200 attendants. The home previously had been zoned to Paetow High School but had been rezoned to Morton Ranch High School. It is a short-term rental that previously has been rented through Airbnb. The current rental was reported to have been rented through a different platform.
Statement From Katy ISD
Katy ISD issued the following statement regarding the incident:
"The District is aware of the incident. No student enrolled in Katy ISD resides at the residence under investigation, nor, at this time, has any Katy ISD student been identified as an individual connected to the reported rental of the property."
It’s homecoming season and Katy ISD’s Paetow High School had their homecoming dance this Saturday, September 17, 2022. The shooting occurred later that evening at a party when two groups began to a fight and a shooting broke out.
