More About the Charities:

The Ballard House provides housing for patients and their family members who have come to the area to receive medical treatment for a life-threatening illness. The Ballard House is always seeking donations to supply and operate their 20,000 square foot hospitality house.

Compassion Katy works with area businesses, churches, local organization, and their partners to provide access to social services to local under-resourced and families suffering through economic hardships.

One of their biggest events and giving back opportunity is Operation Back 2 School. The event serves 18 schools and benefits over 10,000 students as they prepare to be successful in the new school year.

Christ Clinic provides low-cost health care to the uninsured or those in financial difficulty. All patients are treated by board certified volunteer doctors, nurse practitioners, and nurses. Christ Clinic partners with West Houston Methodist and Memorial Hermann.

Midsummer Katy is made possible by sponsors and volunteers. The event brings the city together to support local charities in a fun way.

“To see all the volunteers is precious,” says Alt. “It’s going to be a great event for all to enjoy.”
