Three Dead After Katy House Party

Three people are dead after a shooting at a Katy house party over the weekend.

 A Shooting Took Place Katy this Weekend

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a life-threatening call around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024 and when they arrived, they found two dead and several wounded after a shooting.



Three Total Victims

One shooting victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead sending the death toll in the shooting to three. The shooting was at a party at the 4600 block of Russet Leaf Trace, near Clay Road and North Fry Road in Katy.

 

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the victims were all in their twenties and the names have not been released yet.


"Homicide investigators viewed videos from security cameras and witness cell phones in attempt to piece together what had actually occurred and why," the Sheriff's Office statement said.



While there have been no arrests, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez described the scene as "very chaotic and dangerous" due to "random gunfire" inside and outside of the house.


Authorities say that the shoot occurred during a birthday party.

While one suspect is still on the run, it is important to note that this is still under investigation.
