Suspect May Be Involved in Another Shooting, Firearms Trafficking
Seth Brumant, 17, is a documented gang member from Katy/Harris County. On Tuesday, he was arrested at his Katy home on Silverhawk Drive in the Westfield subdivision. He was charged with the murder of 19-year-old Marvin Harrison.
Brumant is now in the Harris County jail with bond set at $200,000. The bond is high because investigators believe he was involved in one other shooting, as well as trafficking firearms. Brumant has no prior convictions.
Killing is Drug Related
A witness reported to prosecutors that Brumant had paid $80 for marijuana just before gunfire started. Harrison was reportedly shot in the head and his cousin was shot in the left arm.
