Murder Suicide in Seven Meadows Home Near Golf Course

Teenage son was home, but not injured, when crime took place.

The shooting took place on the 5900 block of Rose Bush Train in Katy.

On Saturday night, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office received a 911 call that a man and woman had been shot at a home in the 5900 block of Rose Bush Trail near the Meadowbrook Farm Golf Course in Katy. 

"It was determined the shooter, Brian Carter, shot his estranged wife, Kristi Carter, before taking his own life," said Major Chad Norvell, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

The couple's teenage son was at home at the time of the shooting and was not injured. He was released to other family members who came to the scene.
