Central Green Park in LaCenterra is known for their fun and free programs that Katy families love. The Holiday season is no exception and the fun starts today.
Enjoy The Polar Express Movie Event Today
Today from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Katy families can enjoy The Polar Express movie event at Central Green Park in Lacenterra. The classic holiday movie starts at 5:30 p.m., but this is more than a movie.
“It’s just a great time to get out, enjoy the community, and make friends,” says Yvonne Arceneaux, Willow Fork Drainage District’s Park Director.
In addition to watching the film families can enjoy seeing a reindeer and elf mascot, face painting, craft stations, independent play station and more.
Central Green Park will be taking donations for Serving Through, a charity that supports children who have lost a parent. You can make a monetary donation or bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event.
Families can bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie. Children can wear pajamas if they want.
Find free, live music performances at many Central Green Park events.
A Very, Merry Christmas Spectacular
And the holiday fun continues on December 16, 2022 with A Very, Merry Christmas Spectacular. There will be live music and activities for the whole family.
There will be performance by Ashley Tamar, Cinco Strings, Z-Alpha, Elise & Emily, Khloe Joiner (A Book and a Smile), and more!
Grammy nominated performer Ashley Tamar is known for touring with Prince and her involvement with Tyler Perry movies and music.
The event is all about the children and children will be taking the stage to interview performers like Ashley Tamar and local school choirs.
The fun starts at 4:30 p.m.
“This is just an example of one of the many things that makes Katy great,” says Arceneaux. “This community is full of fun and wonderful people. Families should get out and enjoy the community and make friend.”
