Katy-based nonprofit Hope Impacts will move to a larger space this year after ten years of serving the local homeless population. With their upcoming move and an increase in demand of their services, they are hosting a fundraising event that is sure to be fun. What woman doesn’t love a designer bag?

After a decade of serving the Katy homeless, Hope Impacts is moving to a larger location to better meet the ongoing need. Their new space will allow them to better serve and offer new programs, but they seek community volunteers. The new space, however, comes with more expenses along with the growing need for more of their services.

Tickets On Sale Now

Tickets are now on sale for Hope Impacts’ Purse Bingo and Fashion Show. The event will be on February 12, 2025 from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. While this is the second year for their event, they are changing locations to The Oaks Kitchen (2100 Cane Island Parkway.)

Attendees can shop local boutiques, watch the fashion show for the latest trends, play ten rounds of bingo for a chance to win a designer bag. Plus, there will be refreshments, appetizers and plenty of sweets to enjoy.

Tickets are $75 per person and this includes your ten bingo cards. Additional cards can be purchased for $10. The raffle will be $5. You can purchase tickets online.

“This event will help us set up our new space for more client services, organizing the supply closet, and purchasing necessary items for the new office, computer room, bigger client community room, updated and expanded shower capacity and updated furniture needs,” says Hope Impacts founder and director Tina Hatcher. “Plus, our monthly costs have significantly increased since we are dealing with commercial real estate property rather than a church owned property.”

10 Years of Service

Hope Impacts has been serving Katy’s homeless population for 10 years. Homelessness is a problem many cities face and this Katy based nonprofit gets no state funding to help. They run entirely on community donations and volunteers. For over a year they have struggled in their current space and are now able to move to better help those they serve and to grow the programs they are known to offer.

The Katy based non-profit is focused on giving hope and dignity to locals facing homelessness. Hope impacts founder and Executive Director Tina Hatcher says that the numbers of homeless continues to grow, but their programs help. In their time serving, Hope Impacts has been responsible for helping over 300 people get off the streets and into better lives.

For over a year they have struggled in their current space and are now able to move to better help those they serve and to grow the programs they are known to offer. They are moving from 802 Dominion Dr. Suite 900 to 3115 N Fry Rd Suite 404.

Hope Impacts continues to offer their Supper and Showers program on Tuesdays and Thursdays at CrossRoad Church from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Their new space is scheduled to be finished this weekend and then they will start to move over. There is still a lot of work to be done.

“It will take some time to get everything set up and completed,” says Hatcher. “Our goal is to be fully operational by the beginning of March.”
