The Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day Conference is now open for registration. This year marks the third consecutive year that Katy ISD’s Morton Ranch High School will host the event.

Registration is open online for the National Girls & Women in Sports Day Conference that will be hosted by and held at Morton Ranch High School on Monday, February 19, 2024.
Free to KISD High School Female Athletes
This event is free to Katy ISD high school female athletes and coaches of girls teams. The first 200 to register get a free t-shirt.
The National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) is an annual day established in 1987 held the first week in February to acknowledge the accomplishments of female athletes. The occasion also recognizes the influence of sports participation for women and girls and honor the progress and continuing struggle for equality in sports.
Each year, the United States Congress recognizes women who have contributed to sports. The event is celebrated the first week of February across the country where communities hold special events.
The NGWSD Conference features an impressive lineup of distinguished speakers, each recognized for their significant contributions to the world of sports. The accomplished individuals below will share their expertise and inspirational journeys, inspiring Katy ISD female athletes to pursue and achieve their sports dreams.
NGWSD speakers include:
Jocelyn Adams – Head Volleyball Coach, Cy Springs High School
Paige Hershey – Executive Director of Athletics, Spring Branch ISD
Dr. Chivonne Kiser – Assistant Athletic Director, Denton ISD
Jordan Highsmith – Multimedia Producer
Camaury Prados Washington – CEO of Faith at the Plate, Professional Softball Player
Nancy Zumaya – Business Owner, Professional Football Player, Founder – This is WWarrior
The event is Monday, February 19, 2024 from 8:00 a.m.- noon. Breakfast is complimentary. The conference will be held in the Morton Ranch High School’s Performing Arts Center (21000 Franz Road)
