Adults over 18 can pick from numerous studies like business, dance, or more in Katy ISD’s Community Education. The district also offers virtual classes to make learning even more accessible anywhere, anytime.

Pick a New Challenge, Hobby
Katy residents can take on new challengs or pick a new hobby in the New Year. Registration is now open for Katy ISD’s Community Education classes. Classes range in the topics of art, business, culinary, finance, and music courses, along with courses for retirement and long-term planning.
“Our Community Education courses remain a popular way for our community members to learn something new, whether acquiring a new skill or growing their knowledge in a certain area,” says Nick Petito, director of internal communications for Katy ISD.
This academic year, the district started offering virtual classes. This new format provides greater flexibility and convenience, allowing students to join from anywhere.
Classes start on January 22, 2025. Enrollment is open to adults 18 and older.
With the new option of online learning the district hopes that more can participate in this learning opportunity.
Community Education class subjects include classes in the following areas:
Arts
Business
Computer Skills
Crafts
Culinary
Finance
Music

Whether it's staying up on the latest computer skills, financial planning, or simply having fun in an art class; continued education in adults has been proven to be beneficial.
