The Katy ISD Board of Trustees named a new Principal and Assistant Superintendent for Secondary School Leadership and Support during their monthly meeting. The Board continues to meet on a monthly basis via Zoom as the Katy schools start their sixth week of virtual schooling.

During the Katy ISD Board of Trustees meeting last night a new Principal was named to Stockdick Junior High as well as a new Assistant Superintendent for Secondary School Leadership and Support for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic school year.
The Board held their meeting via Zoom, where they named Dr. Ann Lalime the new principal of Stockdick Junior High, and Christopher Morgan was named Assistant Superintendent for Secondary School Leadership and Support.
A 30 Year Educational Veteran
Dr. Ann Lalime has worked in education for 30 years and started her career in public education in Waco ISD in 1990. There she worked with third through sixth grade students and coached a high school swim team. She moved to Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in 1998 to serve as a fourth-grade teacher, an instructional specialist for all grade levels and content area, and an assistant principal at Bang and Bane Elementary schools.
Former Principal to Golbow Elementary
In 2009, Dr. Lalime joined Katy ISD as the principal of Golbow Elementary where she’s continued to serve up until last night’s new appointment.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Education from Baylor University, a Master in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.
Stockdick Junior High was named the 15th Katy junior high in 2016. It is located at 4777 Peek Road.
25 Years in Education
Christopher Morgan has worked in education for 25 years. He started his career in 1995 as an elementary teacher in Irving ISD. In July 2003, he was named the principal at Paul Keyes Elementary. Three years later, Morgan moved to Fort Bend ISD, where he served as an elementary, junior high and high school principal between January 2006 and June 2017.
Former Taylor High School Principal
Morgan joined the Katy ISD family in the 2017-2018 academic year and became the new principal at Taylor High School. He has served in this role until tonight’s appointment.
Mr. Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Education in Administration from Texas Women’s University.
Morgan will work to lead and support the 13 Katy ISD secondary schools in his new position.
Katy ISD' Board of Trustees Continues to Meet, Serve
Despite Katy ISD’s cancelation of in-person school and events, the Board of Trustees continues to meet on a monthly basis and to work to support the district during this challenging time of the coronavirus pandemic.
As ordered by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Katy ISD will not resume in-person classes this academic year and all classes are now in their sixth week of virtual school.
