Katy Drive-By Shooting Injures Two; Life Flight Called

A possible drive-by shooting off of Highland Knolls in Katy is still under investigation. Two victims went to the hospital, with one requiring Life Flight.



Katy Residents Report Sounds of Gunfire

Katy residents took to social media Saturday night reporting the sounds of gunfire and heavy emergency vehicle presence off of Highland Knolls in Katy near the Memorial Parkway area.



According to authorities there was a possible drive-by shooting on Saturday, December 11 around 8:00 p.m. at the 21700 block of Highland Knolls (near Highland Knolls and Park Ridge.) No motive or description of the shooter has been released.


Witness Flagged Down Constable After Slow 911 Response

A witness called 911 when a man limped out his vehicle and said he had been shot. When help didn’t come fast enough, the witness flagged down a deputy with Harris County Constable Ted Heap’s Office Precinct 5.


Constable Ted Heap’s Office confirmed that one victim was Life Flighted to a nearby hospital. They have now turned this investigation over to Harris County Sheriff’s Office.


The condition of the victims has not been released. Katy Magazine has reached out and is waiting for a response from Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
