Katy Area Murder Still Unsolved; Reward Offered

Crime Stoppers and authorities are seeking the public's assistance in solving an unsolved murder from August, 2, 2018. There is a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to apprehending the suspects.

Gunshots Reported at Katy Apartments

On Thursday, August 2, 2018 deputies from Harris County's Sheriff Department responded to a call reporting gun shots. When they arrived at the at the apartment complex in Katy at the 5700 block of Greenhouse Road, they found the victim dead from gunshot wounds.

Reported at the Scene

Witnesses at the time of the murder reported seeing three black male suspects flee the crime scene. They reportedly left via three waiting vehicles. The vehicles appeared to be a gray Lincoln MKG or MKZ, and a dark GMC, or Chevrolet truck.

The victim was Frederick Kennedy, a Katy resident. Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene
