Dig World is a Katy-based construction adventure theme park where kids and adults can operate and play with real construction equipment. The park is located at 5000 Katy Mills Circle near Katy Mills Mall.

On “Shark Tank” founder Jacob Robinson presented his business plan and discussed the ongoing success of the Katy location of Dig World. His presentation ended with him receiving a deal with “Shark” Robert Herjavec and a $200,000 investment.

According to Robinson, Dig World welcomed 65,000 guests last year and has plans for continued growth. The company just sold their first franchise in the Dallas area. That new location is scheduled to open the end of 2025.

“We are blessed that our location in Katy continues to grow and reach more and more people,” says Robinson. “We are excited to use this new momentum to welcome even more people to our park!”

Herjavec’s involvement and investment will allow further expansion for the park as they look to branch out and open more locations throughout the country. Robinson says that he is excited about the growth to come.

Dig world in Katy opened in 2017 and continues to entertain the Katy community and visitors.

Robinson is grateful for all the help he received in preparing to appear on “Shark Tank” as he had to condense his entrepreneur journey into ten minutes plus a Q and A.

One argument that Robinson posed for the benefits of his park is the need to get kids outside and away from technology and AI.

According to Dig World website, there are also plans to open a location in North Carolina.

As Katy continues to grow, entertainment-based businesses like Dig World continue to open and succeed as families seek fun activities to do together.
