FREE Earth Day and Weekend Events in Katy for the Whole Family

Check out these upcoming FREE events in Katy. To celebrate Earth Day, plant a tree, shred some docs, recycle old electronic devices, or visit a community-wide garage sale. You'll still have time left over for a car show and puppy costume contest. Don't miss the fun in Katy this week!

EARTH DAY BASH

LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch

The first 100 guests that come out to Heritage Square (the green area by Gelato & Co.) will get a FREE small tree* courtesy of Land Crafters.


Snooze an A.M. Eatery will also be in attendance, educating guests on how they are committed to making the world a little better, one pancake at a time, with all their restaurant sustainability efforts.


*Available while supplies last. Limit of (1) tree per family for the first 100 guests

SPRING GARAGE SALE


More than 50 homes in the Grand Lakes subdivision off of 99 and Fry will be set up for their community-wide garage sale. Homeowners will be selling furniture, household items, clothes, toys, books, tools, and much more!

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION * SHREDDING DAY

Katy Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to shred your documents and recycle your old electronic devices for free. They’ve teamed up with Shredding on the Go and Operation Reboot to host a Shredding Day in honor of Earth Day.

The Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) Community Food Fair is a monthly program designed to help end food insecurity in the Greater-Katy Area. This Saturday, local families can get fresh produce for FREE at the PowerHouse Church.

WOOFSTOCK: PEACE LOVE DOGS

Peace. Love. Dogs - the true meaning of Woofstock! Join the PawzUp DogFest this Saturday for vendors, food, drinks and music to celebrate the Katy community and pups of all shapes and sizes. The Fido-friendly festival will feature games and a special doggie Costume Contest, with prizes donated from the vendors.

The front parking lot of Katy High School will be packed with rows of spectacular cars and trucks. Car enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy seeing vintage hot rods to the latest models up close!


Proceeds benefit Katy High School Theatre.
