Construction is now complete at the crossover at Highway 90 and Cane Island Parkway on Katy's north side, cutting down drive time for Katyites.
Cane Island, a master-planned community situated in the charming heart of historic Katy, announced on their Facebook page today that the intersection at Highway 90 and Cane Island Parkway is now open.
The main portion of the road was originally completed in March 2016, granting drivers direct access to Katy's north side just west of 1463, with a small detour through First Street at the intersection of Highway 90 and Cane Island Parkway.
Now, drivers can easily access homes and businesses from both directions with no detours and no delays, and Cane Island residents can get to IH-10 from within the Cane Island community instantly.
“The ability to access I-10 from Cane Island Parkway is certainly one of the community’s chief selling points,” notes Dan Naef, president of Rise Communities, developer of Cane Island. “The Cane Island Parkway exit is now less than a half mile to our main entrance."
