Bar Louie

2707 Commercial Center Blvd.

281-394-5480

Last January, Bar Louie opened its doors. Patrons to the LaCenterra shopping center often miss this gem because it’s tucked in the back between the new Alamo Drafthouse and The Grand at LaCenterra. Once inside, though, patrons gravitate to the bar to check out the selection, including 30 draft taps.

Raise Your Glass

Bartenders offer samples of the many local beers to help find your new favorite. They also encourage guests to ask the servers about Bar Louie’s local, rotating and seasonal beers or additional tapped and capped beers. Some favorite Texas breweries stay in the rotation: Karbach, Fulbrook Ale Works, 11 Below and Revolver Brewing Company.

Bar Bites

The establishment proudly serves sharable dishes and taste-bud-rocking entrees. Their website even tempts guests “to join the gastrobar revolution.” Stop in to try their Chicken and Churros - beer-battered fried chicken breast, savory spiced churros with maple glaze and smoked onion ranch. Don’t miss $5.00 Burger Nights - Tuesday from 5:00 pm – closing.

Bar Louie’s private dining room, with a 75” flat screen seats 50+, and they can open the garage door for additional patio seating. Check their menu for Happy Hour and “Reverse” Happy Hour schedules and pricing.

Growler USA

1443 FM 1463 281-396-4277

Owner Lance Mayo, Aggie grad and Katy resident, welcomes guests to his family-friendly pub.

Wet Your Whistle

Growler USA’s impressive beer wall, with 100 taps of craft beer, wine, cider, mead, and more, might seem intimidating. To guide patrons to their new favorite brew, the menu lists the beers in helpful sections like “Ambers and Browns,” “Hoppy” and “Sours and Fruity.” The pub’s Cicerone-certified servers can also offer educated suggestions. To make the beer experience more enjoyable, customers can try a craft beer flight.

Tempt Your Taste Buds

Growler USA boasts 85-90% of their beers come from Texas breweries. To complement these specialty beers, the pub offers a great selection of appetizers like pretzel sticks and fried pickles. But save room for the burgers, club sandwiches or Mahi-Mahi Tacos.
