Award-Winning Community Band Season Continues in Katy

The Lone Star Symphonic Band is set to resume their 32nd season in Katy soon. They are a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to bringing performances of artistic merit to the greater Houston area.

 Award Winning Band to Perform in Katy

The award-winning Lone Star Symphonic Band resumes their 32nd season with a performance on March 2, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. All their performances are at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church (22111 Morton Ranch Dr.) in Katy.



"The Lone Star Symphonic Band values its position in the community of Katy," says Music Director Bob Bryant. "We seek to provide quality, live music performances that are family friendly and enjoyable to all ages."


The Lone Star Symphonic Band is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to bringing performances of artistic merit to the Houston area. This spring the band will perform the first of two spring concerts with the first one on March 2 being, “Boots, Bluebonnets, and Bravado,” their annual concert celebrating Texas Independence Day. Music from John Williams, Aaron Copland and others will be included.

 

Tickets are available online. Season tickets are $21 each and include the three remaining performances of the season. Individual concerts are $11 each.

 

"We seek to prepare our performance to be of the greatest depth and breadth of generosity, making our greatest gift to our patrons the gift of music," says Bryant. "We strive to provide a passageway that will reach, move, stir and connect with the emotions of our listeners."

 

The Lone Star Symphonic Band rehearses in Katy and consider themselves fortunate to have such talent in the city.

  • May 4, 2025- Adventure Awaits!

  • June 29, 2025- With Hearts of Gratitude

 

The Lone Star Symphonic Band was founded in 1993 as the West Houston Concert Band, the band is comprised of musicians from all walks of life and instills the value that music is a life-long event, continuing well beyond high school and college.

 

The Lone Star Symphonic Band has previously won the prestigious Sudler Silver Scroll. The award is North America’s most prestigious award for Community Concert Bands.

 

"Our community, our audience, is a primary consideration as we program each concert within the Concert Season," says Bryant.
