A suspect in an aggravated robbery in a Katy residence has been arrested. The suspect displayed a weapon and threatened the resident before fleeing with stolen property.

Fort Bend County Sheriff’s detectives along with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force have arrested Joey Wood, 40, of Spring for the aggravated robbery at a Katy home.

Fort Bend County Sheriff deputies responded to a call on January 28, 2022 at the 28400 block of Hazel Trail in the Tamarron subdivision.
Suspect Threatened Resident with a Weapon
The suspect displayed a weapon threatening the resident before he fled with stolen property.
“Our investigative team and our Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force partners continue to work diligently to get violent offenders off our streets,” says Fort Bend County Sheriff, Eric Fagan.
After further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued and Wood was arrested on February 3, 2022. Wood remains in Fort Bend County Sheriff’s custody at the Fort Bend County Jail and is charged with Aggravated Robbery. His bond is set at $150,000.
“This arrest is proof that our efforts are working,” says Sheriff Fagan.
