Christmastime in Katy - the night air is slightly cooler, Christmas lights brighten the neighborhoods, but your wallet might be feeling a little lighter. We've put together a list of fun and FREE events in Katy to help you save money and enjoy the holiday season!
Monday - Sunday, December 9-15
5-7 p.m.
Bass Pro Shop, Katy Mills Mall
Bring the kiddos to Bass Pro Shop to visit Santa's Workshop now through December 24. Each week they offer a different, free craft for the kids to decorate and take home.

December 9-18
Santa leaves the North Pole at 6:30 p.m.
Along his nightly route, Santa and his elves will be accepting canned goods for the local food pantry, as well as new and unwrapped toys for the Lions Club and Toys-For-Tots programs.

Katy High School Performing Arts Center
Enjoy an entertaining program by the Katy High School Choir! And don't miss the silent auction set up in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Funds raised will be used to purchase new music, expand the uniform selection, bring clinicians in for continuing education for the choir, and for educational field trips.

Chick-fil-A Mason Rd.
Start the day off merry with Chick-fil-A. Come in for story time, singing and arts and crafts! December's preschool playhouses feature Christmas fun that will get your kiddo into the holiday spirit!
Craft a hand-print reindeer to help guide Santa's sleigh at night.

Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Highland Park Neighborhood
Deck the halls and follow the Tompkins Falcon Band in merry measure at their annual Jingle Jam March-a-thon! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be joining in on the yuletide fun too as they march through the Highland Park neighborhood.

The Grinch is coming to the Monty Ballard YMCA and he is bringing some of his friends from Whoville! Discover the true meaning of Christmas with your friends and enjoy an afternoon of old-fashioned Christmas fun.
Chick-fil-A Katy Mills
Calling all elves! Santa needs help in his workshop. Enjoy a tasty Chick-fil-A breakfast with your family, make crafts in the elves' workshop, and visit with Santa and hear a Christmas story. There will also be special visits from the Santa Cow and Elf Cow!

My Place Early Learning Center (WoodCreek)
My Place Early Learning Center (WoodCreek) will be hosting their toy drive to benefit Operation Christmas Child. Bring a toy and receive a free photo with Santa. Games, cookies, milk and Christmas cheer to be included.

11-3 p.m.
Cinco Ranch Library
The morning features a holiday wreath demo with Sara Sheikh. Learn step by step how to make a one-of-a-kind wreath for your home. Later, enjoy the fun family-friendly movie "The Muppet Christmas Carol." Light refreshments will be served between the wreath demo and afternoon movie.

Gerri Ayers Pool to Crescent Green Park

Get in the holiday spirit with the JET Band! Members of the Taylor High School band will start the Jingle Tour from the Gerri Ayers Pool at 2 p.m. The JET Band will make several “jingle stops” along the route for the community to enjoy music and performances. They will be taking requests!!
The JET Band will conclude their march at Crescent Green Park to celebrate with plenty of holiday cheer, the Drumline, and the Color Guard. Hot chocolate, coffee, and baked goods will be available for purchase, plus an opportunity for pictures with Santa!

Listen to Christmas music as you visit Santa and join the elves in his workshop for fun crafts and other treats. Special appearance by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer by Society of Performing Arts.
Saturday, December 21
7-9 p.m.
Central Green at LaCenterra, Cinco Ranch
Frank Hart's "Fantastical Amazing Christmas Concert" is holiday music like you've never heard it before. A rocking jukebox of classic takes on all your favorite Christmas songs. Frank and his friends will perform a high energy, fun, colorful set of music that is sure to keep you smiling all the way to Christmas morning. Come out for an evening that is guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit.
