Does your teen like video games, improv or pizza? Mark your calendar for awesome, free events at the local Katy libraries, including back to school parties!

Check out these free August programs designed for high school-aged teens in grades 9-12. These programs provide fun and challenging opportunities for young adults, who are also encouraged to become active participants in designing and orchestrating new activities for teens in the library system.
Young Adult Coding Craft
Monday, August 5
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Meeting Room
In this YA craft program, teens entering grades 9-12 will make a binary key chain or bracelet. Materials for this program are provided through the generous support of the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library.
YA Improv Fun at the Library for Teens
Monday, August 12
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Meeting Room
Share the laughter while inventing characters and creating scenes in a game of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Based on the improvisational TV game show where players act out various comic games and sketches, this event will be tons of fun! Registration required.
Young Adult Book Club
Wednesday, August 14
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Conference Room
Teen readers in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to meet with others who share the same love for great books. They will have a lively discussion on the reasons a book or its characters were liked or disliked. Those attending the book-club meeting in August are invited to talk about “Not Now, Not Ever,” written by Lily Anderson.

Teen Summer Program: End of Summer Party

Anime Club
