More than 200 dresses were given to local students in time for upcoming homecoming dances
The group Homecoming Dresses for Hurricane Harvey held their most recent "Say YES to the Homecoming Dress" event at Cinco Ranch High School on Tuesday, October 3. Dresses were given to any girl in need, not just students at Cinco Ranch High School. DRESSES & ITEMS GIVEN AWAY
According to group organizers, more than 200 dresses were given away, and their large supply of shoes and accessories was almost depleted. Many volunteers were able to come together and make this event happen. "None of this would have been possible without many people coming together," says one of the event organizers Becky Schmidt. "Over half of our volunteers are among the many people with flooded homes and/or cars."Schmidt says the graciousness and kindness of the staff at Cinco Ranch High School, volunteers, and students far exceeded their expectations. "The love in the room and smiles that we were able to put on the faces of young men and women will forever bring a smile to my own face!"
