Communities surrounding Mayde Creek High School continue to be some of the worst affected by Harvey’s devastating flood waters. Though the school was left intact, hundreds of its students have lost their homes and have had to restart their lives.
After hearing about the destruction, a former Mayde Creek High School teacher and coach, Cathy Reeves, sprang into action to provide help from S.O.S. Schools Outfitting Schools “One Creek to Creek.” This weekend three busloads of donations will be arriving to Mayde Creek High, loaded with 700+ backpacks, school supplies, essential items and the like to help the high school and its feeder schools. The items will be delivered to Mayde Creek on Saturday.
