As the Katy community grows, so does its selection of restaurants - with any cuisine for every budget. Katy has it all, especially some of the best restaurants for families with children.
Mia's Table
Katy Magazine teamed up with the Katy Moms Facebook group and its administrator, Adrienne Davitz to ask Katy moms what their favorite restaurants for kids are.
From fun playgrounds to free treats, these top Katy kid restaurants are sure to thrill kids and their parents too.
1. Mia’s Table
23235 Kingsplace Drive
Mia’s Table offers a wide range of meals sure to please everyone in the family. They also offer free ice cream. Mia’s Table is part of the Johnny Carrabba Family of Restaurants.
2150 S. Mason Road
Home to unarguably one of the best restaurant playgrounds in the area, Hat Creek Burger is a Katy family favorite. They offer a great menu selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Katy parents can relax and enjoy some adult time while the kids play.
300 Westgreen Boulevard
Waiting on a busy night at Jimmy Changas makes for a fun time. Sit outside and let the kids enjoy a covered outdoor playground and free soft serve ice cream. And don’t forget the bottomless chips with salsa and their famous green sauce.
4. CiCis

Katy families can make unlimited trips to CiCi's buffet with assorted salads, pasta, and of course pizza. Remember to save room for their dessert pizza. Cici’s also has a fun arcade where kids can play and win prizes while parents sit back and relax. If you are feeling ambitious accept the challenge of a pizza-eating contest or even better, be there when one is in progress and cheer them on!

Lupe Tortilla serves up great for food in a casual environment. Relax outside while the kids amuse themselves in the mini playground attached to the restaurant. When the kids have worked up an appetite, order off the "Little Amigos" menu for their favorite Tex-Mex dishes!

Kids always enjoy looking at the aquariums with large, colorful, exotic fish that greet them at the entrance to the China Cottage. Enjoy family style portions with quick and friendly service.
7. Fuddruckers

At Fuddruckers, picky young eaters get to make their own burgers so everyone will love their meal. Kids also get a free cookie! The restaurant also features a collection of arcade games and comfy booths.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat peanuts and don’t forget to throw them on the floor. Kids eat free on Mondays.
9. El Jarrito
21724 Highland Knolls Drive
Another popular Mexican restaurant in Katy is El Jarrito. Kids can explore the playground while waiting for their food, or they can burn off some energy after the meal.
10. Red River BBQ
1711 South Mason Road
Families will find fun games like giant Jenga and corn hole at Red River BBQ. Kids can also enjoy the slide and sandbox with toy trucks they can dig in the sand. Remember to ask your server for a free popsicle!
11. Grimaldi’s
2643 Commercial Center Boulevard
Enjoy coal oven baked pizza while overlooking the lake at LaCenterra. You'll probably be visited by the many resident ducks while dining on the restaurants patio. Ask the server for a ball of pizza dough to occupy the kids while they wait.
