Fall Festivals in and Around Katy


As the weather turns from scorching hot to muggy warm, Katyites are spending more time outdoors in search of fall fun and recreation. We've compiled a list of fun festivals with everything from train rides to dragon boat races to amusement rides. Happy fall, Katy!

Sept. 29 - Nov. 25 (weekends)

No Label Brewing Co.

Katy

Oct. 26 7-10 pm Ticket includes two beers, special Oktoberfest glass, dinner by Sauerkraut food truck, music by Auf Gehts Musik and dancing. Extra beers can be purchased onsite (No one under 21 admitted)

 

Sept. 28 - Oct. 7 Rosenberg

The Fort Bend County Fair has grown into one of the largest and most successful fairs in Texas. Entertainment this year includes Turnpike Troubadours, Koe Wetzel and more. Enjoy favorites like the BBQ Cook-Off games and booths, carnival as well as the naming of the Fort Bend County Fair Queen.

 

Fall activities are open Wallis

Mazes, slides and rides....OH MY! There is so much to see and do on the Farm. Stroll thru our Rope Maze, slide down our Giant Slides or run the "Rat Race". You can challenge your opponent on our Pony Hops, Steer Roping or race our Pedal Cars. How about a leisurely Hay Ride or a little more boisterous Barrel Train ride? An unlimited amount of fun is to be shared in the fresh country air. Enjoy the pumpkin patch! Tickets are $20 (24 months and younger are free.)

 

Oct. 1 - Nov. 1 (closed Oct. 20)

Hockley

Hitch a hay ride and see over 85 scarecrows, and thousands of pumpkins. Barbecue sandwiches are available or attendees can bring food and have a picnic. Admission is$15 per person, but with a group of 15 or more admission is $8 per person. Every child with paid admission gets a free pumpkin.

 

Oct. 4 - 7

Houston

Be Greek for a day with live entertainment, cathedral tours, food, and games and activities for children of all ages.

 

Oct. 13 - 14

Brooks Lake at Fluor | Sugar Land

Families can watch different teams paddle and race to

the finish line on dragon-like boats. There is a new race

to enjoy every 15 to 20 minutes. Enjoy lion and dragon

dances, martial arts, and tai chi performances. Live music will create an exciting atmosphere and food vendors will also be available. Shaved ice is a popular treat for many at this event. Admission is free.

 

Katy Rice Festival

Oct. 12 - 14 Historic Downtown Katy

Enjoy hometown family fun hundreds of vendor booths, live music, carnival rides, and more. The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and from 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. You can find info on music acts, and admission prices here.

 

Oct. 20 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

George Ranch Historical Park, Richmond

Families will learn about 150 years of Texian history at this

festival. Witness battle reenactments, live entertainment,

and participate in hands on activities. Food and crafts

will be available. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for

children. Kids ages 4 and under are free.

 

Oct. 27 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Bridgeland | Cypress

Headlining the stage this year will be The Canine Stars, North America’s Premier Stunt Dog Show! This is an exciting extreme sports production for family entertainment-highlighting popular dog sports such as dock diving, freestyle frisbee disc, flyball racing and more. They have multiple breeds of dogs and mixes who have been rescued or adopted from shelters. Admission is free.

 

Oct. 20 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Cross Creek Ranch | Fulshear

The biggest creative collection of scarecrows will come

to life at this festival. Families will be entertained with a

carnival, food trucks, apple bobbing, face painting, pumpkin

decorating, and more. Admission is free and open to

the public and carnival tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate.

 

First Christian Church

October 20, 6:30-9:30pm

22101 Morton Ranch Rd

Join us for a little "Hocus Pocus" in the Patch as we roll out the big screen for Movie Night in the Patch! We will begin gathering at 6:30 with show time at 7pm. We encourage you to bring a chair or blanket to sit on along with dinner if you choose. Popcorn and drinks will be for sale in the patch during the movie!

 

Fall Fest Oct. 26 6 - 9 p.m. CrossPoint Church - Westgreen Campus

Join us for a fun and FREE family event filled with games, inflatables, trunk or treat, story-time, and lots of candy! This event is open to the community - invite your neighbors and friends to join the fun! We will be selling Chick-fil-A at our event so come hungry!

 

Oct. 28 2 - 6 p.m.

Sugar Land Town Square | Sugar Land, Texas

Spooky witches, superheroes, and princesses are all welcome to join in on the fun and frights at Halloween Town. Bring the whole family, friends, and pets to this festive event at Town Square. There will be a costume contest for kids, toddlers, and pets and winners will receive a spooktacular prize! Remember not to dress too gruesome or scary, as this is a family event. Admission is free.

 

Halloween Fun Fest

October 31

4pm-8pm

Smith Ranch

We'll have pumpkins, moonwalks, hayrides, paddle boats, pony rides, games, food and much more!
